About Garoa
● Updated August 20, 2026
Garoa is a Brazil payroll & eSocial compliance platform for foreign-owned subsidiaries: payroll, time & attendance, shift scheduling and eSocial reporting software your Brazilian entity operates itself — full CLT depth on the ground, an English interface for headquarters. Garoa is the fine drizzle São Paulo is famous for: quiet, constant, unmistakably local. That is the product's promise — Brazilian compliance handled the way a local would, visible to a global team.
Who is behind it
Garoa is the international brand of Grupo Nimer, a São Paulo software company. The platform is not a new codebase built for a landing page: it is the group's payroll and workforce engine, running in production today for Brazilian operators in passenger transport, logistics and home care — businesses where thousands of CLT employees work in shifts, clock in and out every day, and where a payroll mistake shows up as a labor claim, not a typo. Shift schedules (including 12×36), electronic time & attendance under Portaria 671, night premiums, union agreements, eSocial closings, DCTFWeb and FGTS Digital: this is the software's daily workload, years before the Garoa name existed.
Garoa packages that engine for a specific customer: the foreign-owned subsidiary that has its own CNPJ, wants to run Brazil itself instead of through a black-box BPO, and needs headquarters to see everything in English.
How we verify what we publish
Payroll content is money content, so our library follows rules we are comfortable defending:
- Official sources only for figures. Every number on every page is checked against gov.br, Receita Federal, Ministério do Trabalho, Planalto or the courts (TST/STJ/STF) — and each page lists its sources at the end.
- Adversarial fact-checking. Before publication, independent reviewers try to refute each claim against primary sources; what fails is corrected or cut.
- Dated, honestly. Every page carries the date its figures were last verified. Brazil re-issues the minimum wage and INSS tables every January and changes payroll rules mid-year; we re-verify on that cycle and stamp the year on titles.
- No invented experts. Content is researched and written by the Garoa team. When a named CRC accountant or labor lawyer reviews a page, we will say so by name — and never before.
- Corrections: found a figure that looks wrong? Write to [email protected]. We would rather fix a page than defend it.
The group
Grupo Nimer operates three brands: NIMER (workforce, fleet and payroll for passenger transport in Brazil), KUDA (home care operations), and Garoa — the same compliance engine, offered in English to foreign-owned subsidiaries.
